SX-ALPHA
GAS DETECTOR WITH MPS TECHNOLOGY
Sensorex has developed SX-Alpha, a groundbreaking gas detector. This next-generation gas detector gives Sensorex customers a significant advantage in terms of life cycle costs and multi-gas measurement.
MPS technology plays a major role in modern gas detection. It offers clear benefits for safety and maintenance: the MPS sensor has a considerably longer service life than its predecessors, provides stable measurements and is less sensitive to ambient factors – meaning that under normal operating conditions, field calibration is no longer required.
SX-Alpha measures a wide range of gases from oxygen to explosive and toxic gases. Depending on the sensor module, the operating temperature range extends from –40 to +60 °C.
Thanks to its IP65 rating, the device is suitable for use in even the most demanding conditions.
Designed and manufactured in Finland
– a long-life gas detector
- The smart sensor module reduces maintenance costs and increases reliability
-
- TrueLEL™ multi-gas measurement technology
- Patented MPS sensor with a service life of up to 15 years
- Factory calibrated – under normal operating conditions, no field calibration required
- Immune to sensor poisoning and overexposure
- RS-485 Modbus RTU and 4–20 mA, plus an alarm relay, ensure excellent connectivity
- Easy access to fault codes and settings via QR code: scan or send a photo of the QR code directly to service
MPS™ technology detects explosion hazards sensitively and reduces the risk of false alarms in multi-gas measurement
Multi-gas challenges in flammable gas monitoring are related to situations where several combustible gases may be present in the measured air at the same time.
Traditional technologies are not able to determine the true LEL value (Lower Explosive Limit) of a multi-gas mixture, but may trigger an alarm based on an incorrect value.
More accurate TrueLEL™ measurement of explosion hazards is possible with patented MPS™ technology (Molecular Property Spectrometer).
